? RUGBY UNIGN COMMITTEE MEETING The usual meeting of th3 Opotild Rugby Union management committee was held on Monday evening. There were present, Messrs W. Burrett (president), E. ShOrt, E. Webb, S. J'ephson, C. Morris, G, Shalfoon and C. Simmens (secretary). Mr. W. Burrett reported that he Ead had to order off two players I. Walker and S. Waterson for fighting during the High School v. O.M.P. match. 'It was decided to uphold the ! referee's action. The Unemployed Workers' Association wrote asking if a benefit match could be given to assist their funds. A lengthy letter was received.frOm the Bay of Plenty Rugby Union in connection with certa-in minor alterations of rules and regulations. It was decided to pay nine guineas (3 weeks at 3 guineas) towards S. Welsh's hospital account for treatmenit after injuries receivad in a junior match" Following are the fixtures for Saturday. — Senior: City v. O.M.P., at Reserve, Mr H. Stewart; Country v. High School at Show Grounds, Mr L. Mclntosh. Juniors: Waioeka v High- School, at Show Grounds, Mr Wilkinson. City v. Country, at the Reserve, -Mr E. Seville.
