TYRE SLEEVES
YALUABLE ACCESSORY. A small and inexpensive accessory which every motorist should carry in his tool kit, especially on trips which take him any distance from centres where tyre troubles can receive prompt and effective treatment, is a tyre sleeve. However sound a tyre may be, the danger of having it badly gashed by hidden glass or some other sharp substances on the road is always prc-sent, if it is not very grave, and if the spare and another cover become badly damaged either in this way or hy blow-out, the predicament of one stranded in an isolated district without a sleeve by which one of the damaged covers can be rendered tempoi-a-rily usable is unenviable. Generally, as new covers are now extraordinarily ( cheap, it is bad policy to attempt the use of a sleeve for the permanent "repair" of a cut.
