mamaku lady celebrates HER EIGHTY -THIRD BIRTIIDAY. MRS. E. FLYNN C ONGRATULATED A laz-ge number of people assembled in the Regent Theatre, Mamaku, on Friday evening to celebrate the 83rd birthday of Mrs. E. Flynn, a well known resident of the district. A well arranged programme of singing, dancing and cards was carried out unfil the early hours of the morning. Visitors from outside the district were numerous. During the supper adjournment a presentation from local residents was made by Mr. F. Reed, who conveyed congratulations and good wishes from a host of admirers. Mrs. Flynn enjoys remarkably good health and is of a very happy disposition. The following contributed items during the evening: — Misses De Silva, Hemmings and Brennan; Messrs. Amson and Connolly. Card winers were Mrs. Goodwin and Mrs. Erickson and Messrs. Carron and Devine.
