DUNEDIN, Monday. James Brown Samson, aged 54 years, a well lcnown biscuit manufacturer, was found shot in the fowl house at the rear of his dwellipg this morning. An inquest was held this afternoon. The verdict returned was that death was caused by a gunshot wound selx inflicted, while deceased was in a depressed state of mind. Deosased was a x'eturned soldier and for some months had been suffex'ing from a long-standing throat trouble, contracted during the war.
