CARD PARTY.
BASKETBALL ASSN. Great success attended the first card party organised by the Rotorua Basketball Association which was held in the Druid's Hall recently. The hall was specially decorated for the occasion and there were about 80 players present. A dainty homecooked supper was much appreciated. Mr. Fitzgerald proved a capable master of ceremonies. Mrs. Holden won the lady's prize, and Mr. Monk was the winner in the ' men's section. Credit for the success of the function goes to an energetic committee headed by Mrs. T. Kelly and many volunteer assistants.
