SPEED IN VATICAN CITY.
It is understood that an order will shortly be issued by the Governor of the Vatican City restricting the speed of motor cars, and especially ! of lorries, within the Vatican territory. _ j Special care is to be taken in the Belvedere Courtyard, where the portion of the library which collapsed last December is being rebuilt. At j the opposite end of the same court- | yard are the Borgia rooms, with i | their priceless frescoes and stucco , j decorations. It is 'desired to prevent any unnecessary vibration from reaching these rooms and those above, which ' contain the wall paintings executed , by Raphael and his pupils.
