HAMILTON, Thursday. Concern at the, development of cracks in the main building at the Waikato Hospital, in the vicinity of the operating theatre, was expressed at the meeting of the Hospital Board to-day, following on a report from the visiting committee. The cracks are said to ' be increasing in size. "They are most alarming," declared Mr. C. J. W. Barton. "Thank heavens, we are not in an earthquake : area, hecause I would not like to work there." The board's architect assured members that there was no danger of the wall collapsing. He, had given instructions for the foundations to he attended to with the object of having the cracks filled up.
