He said he was not the starter of the economic war; it was "the gentlemen across the water," hut they had mistaken the tennier of the Irish people. "The British are going to feel it equally," ha said, "as our olTer for a fair court regarding the annuities «tands. If we will not be permittcd the ehoiee of the personnel of the trihunal I appeal to the Irish people to stand firm."
