LONDON, Wednesday. At the wool saies 8S64 hales were olfered, including 3270 hales of New Zealand and approximately 7350 bales were sold. There was the leeenest Home and foreign competition, and prices again hardened. Merinos were 10 to 15 per eent., greasy crosshreds, 15 to 20 per cent., and slipes, 15 to 20 per cent. ahove the June closing rates. The following prices were realised for the fleece portion of the clips named: — New Zealand greasy crossbred, Puruatanga, top price, 8d, average 7d; slipe halfhred lambs, Belfast, 11. ld to 9-ld.
