Rec. July 12, 10.55 p.m. LONDON, Tuesday. The Irish Free State Government to-day released the correspondence which has passed between the Gov-er-nor- General and Mr. de Valera,

and authorised its publicati-on. The fact that Mr. de Valera was forced to withdraw the ban is regarded as a distinct victory for the Governor-General, Mr. James McNeill. Despite rumours to the contrary, there is no expectation that Mr. McNeill will resign. He is personally extremely popular.
