FRONTIER INCIDENT TOOK CONTROL OF 'PLANE WITHOUT EXPERIENCE AS PILOT CRASHED AND WAS KILLED
LONDON, Saturday, During the recent trouble on tfe North West'frontier of India, AirQf. ficer Wiltshire went out in an aeroplane behind a pilot, who fell forwatj shot through the head. Wiltshire had no flying traina^ but had been watching the pilot. He took control of the machine anj attempted to fly the dead officer bacl to Pesha^ar, ove'r *hostile territory. He did not know how'"to land, tui instead 'of saving hiipself hy par?, chute' .he flew on, saw a landiijg grouncl, attempted to descend, crashe .and ,was killed.
