PALMERSTON NORTH, Thurs. Fatal results attended a collision betweem a Portland lorry and a Baby Austin, which occurred to-night on the main highway near Taiakatahuna, the driver of the small car, Mr. T. K. Forrest of Palmerston North, being killed instantly. Mr. Forrest, who was accompanhy his wife, apparently did not give the lorry sufficient room and the windscreen was caught hy the overhanging door of the lorry. The impact sent the small car flying and it came to rest on its side. The lorry was only scratched. Mrs. Forrest suffered severe scratches and cuts on the forehead.
