Rec. July 3, 7.30 p.m. TOKIO, Saturday. A destructive storm, accompanjed by torrential rainfall, which is now sweeping Japan, has reached Tokio, and the low-iying areas are flooded. Reports from the country say that there is a heavy death roll. Thirty were drowned at Miki through an emhankment collapsing. Six thousand houses were submerged at Kawauchi and 2000 at Kochi. Bridges v/ere carried away and railways and other communications disrupted. It is f eared that the damage will reach several figures.
