SLEEPING SICKNESS

CASE OF STRANGE COMA IN FARMER PUZZLES DOCTORS GUELPH, May 20. Suffering from a strange malady similar to sleeping sickness but not diagnosed as such, Arthur Weadick, 43, well known Pilkington Township farmer, is under treatment at St. Joseph's Hospital here. His case has aroused much interest among Guelph's medical fraternity. Weadick, who had enjoyed exeellent health until two days ago, failed to arise as usual from bed yesterday morning, and members of his family upon investigation found that he was in a coma from which it was impossible to arouse him. Removed to hospdtal here, he eventually regained consciousness, but the disease with which he is afflicted is something entirely different from anything previously treated in this city, and is being closely studied hy attending doctors.
