ROTORUA LOSES SECOND POSTAL MATCH WITH OPOTIKI. LADIES' COMPETITION. The Rotorua Miniature Rifle Club fired its second match on Tuesday last, against Opotiki. The conditions were 10 men aside, ten shots to count. The following are the results: — Rotorua: W. Winslade, 95; W. Donaldson, 94; S. Walker, 93; E. Lowe, 93; F. Stewart, 92; G. H. Weir, 92; W. Bates, 92; H. Hardcastle, 87; J. McAlees, 87; B. Murrell, 85. Total, 910. Opotiki: C. J. Holland, 99; J. Ramsay, 97; H. Armstrong, 95; F. Armstrong, 94; C. Dickinson, 92; A. Dodgson, 91; P. Mulhern, 88; R. Holland, 86; V. Mulhern, 85; W.-Aidney, 85. Total 912. The ladies of the Rotorua Miniature Rifle Club fired a match against Opotiki on Tuesday last. The conditions were a compulsory sighter and seven shots to count. The Rotorua ladies lost by 31 points. The following are the scores: — Rotorua :- Miss D. Adolph, 59; Miss V. Ferguson, 59; Miss M. Yuill, 59; Miss Pilce, 51; Miss R. Owens, 41. Total, 269. Opotiki: Miss K. Mulhern, 65; Miss Dodgson, 64; Miss' A. Dodgson,61; Miss E. Holland, 58; -Miss N. Holland, s52. Total, 300. This match was : fired' after the usual weekly competition, :-where each memb'er had a : much - hetter score than in the match, npt-ably' Miss Owens, who scored 62 in the competition shoot.
