WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The Returned Soldiers' Conference carried the following remit: — Tliat in view of the aeute want in a land of plenty and the evident dissatisfaction with the existing monetary and credit system, as revcaled at this Dominion Council meeting of delegates, the association urges the setting up of a tribunal, presided over hy a Supreme Court judge, to hold a full, open and immediate inquiry into ihe operations of the New Zealand 'monetary and credit system, and possible alternatives therto, with a view to meeting the legitimate requirements of trade, commerce and industry, and to provide a maximum stimulus in the effort to meet our overseas obligations. Some speakers wished to dolay the matter till after the Ottawa Conference had been held, but an amendment to that effect was defeated. '
