LONELY DEATH
woman's sad fate FOUND LYING DEAD IN IIOME BESB)E A SLEEPING CHILD DISCOVERY BY IIUSBAND Death in a lonely house on tlne shores of Lakc Roto Ehu overtook Muricl Ida Angell, a married woman sonietinie between 8.30 a.m. on Saturday and 5.30 p.m. yesterday evening. Her little daughtier, aged 2| years, was found lying aslecp beside her, when her husband made the tragic discovery yesterday. When the husband, William Angell, returned to his home at 5.30 p.m. yesterday after being absent since 8-30 a.m. on Saturday, he found his wife lying (lead on her bed and his infant daughter asleep beside the _dead bqdy. The child was well, but had evideptly been crying and had not been able tp obtain food. She was, however, top young to be able to tell the sad tale of the lonely death which had overtaken the unfoftunate mother. ' When discovered by her husband, Mrs Angell was lying upon her bed fully dressed. The body disclosed no signs of violence. Just how long she liad been dead it is not possible to say at the present moment, but the body was cold and stiff when found. The house is situated in a very lonely spot on tho shores of Lake Roto Ehu ancl is reached by the Matata Road. The ncarest neighbour is three miles away a fact which probably aceounts for the death remaining undiscovered. Mrs Angell was 45 years of age and In her usual state of health -when left hy her husband on Saturday morning. The police were notified at 6 p.m, yesterday and at once visited the scene of the tragedy and brouglit the body in to the morgue. Tho circumstances surrounding the death will be further investigated.
