A surprising sequel to the fire which totally destroyed an old wooden annexe at the Old People's Home at Awapuni this moi'ning was the gruesome discovery after daylight of the charred remains of a man in the still smoking ruins. The victim has not been identified. !He is considered to be a stranger, who sought shelter from the heavy storm last night.
