' Commissioner, while ' he' was Goods Yard Superintendent in the Railway Department, continued Its enquiry .to'-day. , Mr. Joseph P. Davis, cartage con.tractOr for the'Railways said that he Jrad some dealings concernin^ a mOtOr car, whieh' after he purchased it in 1B28, was registered in Goode's name. He also gave Goode cheques for £1()0 and £310, for the purchase of land at the seaside i'n' 1928. ' Goode said that he had undertaken to buy the land, and asked Mr.' Davis to take it over- . ' Gobde also told witness that he wanted ' £200 by the end of NoVemher, 1929-;* Witness drew a cheque for £150, caslied it and handed the riotes'to Goode, but he gave no receipt, nor had witness asked for one, as he treated it as a private loan. The hearing was adjourned. Judge Thbmpson, Royal Commissioner, announced that Cahinet had extended the term and the scope of the enquiry, enabling the commissioh to: ask Goode whether he had received consideration or money from persons or firms.
