WHY GOVERNOR IGNORED. LONDON, Thursday. The Dublin authorities explain that the Governor-General's absence from the Dublin Castle reception to the Papal Legate was necessary hecause his presence at a State function would involve playing "God Save the King," at whiTi Mr. De Valera and his eolleagues would eertainly have departed. Therefore Mr. De Valera's easiest way out was not to invite His Excelleney, Mr. James McNeil.
