Interesting Exhibits Features of the Tourist Department's display in the winter show which attracted much attention were a particularly fine stag's head of 14 points, and an intricate pieee of carving work sbowing two fighting stags with horns interlocked. Both were loaned to the Department by Mr. L. Riehards. The head was that of a stag shot by Mr. Keith Riehards during the hunting expedition in ■ the Southern Alps and is a magnificent specimen of its kind. The carving has a distinct historical as well as artis-' tic interest, as it was the work of the famous German naval captain, Count -Von Luekner, during the time he was interned at Motuihi Island during the war. The Count carved two specimens of the same design and Mr Riehards was fortunate in being able to purchase one. Coffee Stall License.
