PERMISSION FOR IMPORTS APPROVED BY GROWERS WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The recent decision of the Government to allow importations of wheat from Australia in view of the inadequacy of the New Zealand crop to meet present requirements, was the subject of a deputation to the Premier and the Minister of Customs today hy representatives of the growers, millers and other interests. It is understood that tho deputation sought information as to the ; quantity of wheat the, Government pro posed to allow to eome from outside. Members of the deputation expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the deliberations. Though it was stated that no definite reply was given if was gathered tliat the question is to he discussed in the Oabinet.
