ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF N.D.A. AT PALMERSTON NORTH PALMERSTON N., Tuesday. The annual conferenee of the National Dairy Association was opened this afternoon. Over three hundred delegates from all partfe of the Dominion are present. In addition to the annual report the chairman, Mr. A. Morton, in a statement says the quality of Imtter has been well maintained and there has also been an improvemenfc in cheese. Referring to the manufacturing and sellings costs he said the value of the industry in 1928-29 was £24,362,133; 1929-30, £24,039,981; 1930-3-1, £18,788,730. The average pay-out per supplier in the respective years had been £345, £225, 235. The number of suppliers was 57,823, 60,067, and 60,920 respectively. The total lbs butterfat supplied to the factories was 957,996,539, 288,462,650 and 296,181,279.
