It is now disclosed that the Kempton Park case is only one of a number of instances brought under the Jockey Club's notice. . Experiments have -been made hy stewards in the effects of alkaloids applied externhlly, to reassure the puhlic that every effort is being made to render nobbling impossible. ... It is admitted that the unusual precautions taken to guard Orwell for the; Derby were connected with repeated reports of attempted nobblings.
