AUCKLAND, Sunday. A raid on an alleged pakapoo hank 1 was fiiade on Saturday evening by ; Sergeant Thompson, Detective Sergeant McIIugh and Acting-Sergeants Bi'ady and Hays. Three Chinamen were arrested and charged with fising the premises as a commOn gaming house. The police entered the house by the front door, which was opened from inside by one of the Chinamen, who was1 abottt to leave,' and was arrested. ' After a short struggle in the rear of the house, the police arrested the othfer two Chindmeh, and also secured a large quantity of pakapoo tiekets, ' rubhei" stamps and other material ed- in conneetion with the- hank. After being taken to the lock-up and eharged,'the men' were rbleased ofl ;hail. '
