MR. J. T. HARVEY.

A link with the old coaching days has been broken by the death of Mr. J. T. Harvey, managing-director of the Hawke's Bay Motor Co. The deceased gentleman was, apparently, in his usual health on Thursday, but just before retiring to bed he had a seizure and died almost immediately. It is about 30 years since Mr. Harvey ,ra,n his well-known line of coaches from Napier to Taupo, connecting with the early service of the Rotorua Motor Transport Company, and that connection has been maintained to the present day, although the old coach has now given way to the fast motor car. He was one of the best-known transport men in New Zealand, and had many friends in Rotorua. He had reached the age of 69 years at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife and a grownup family.
