Rec. June 16, 7.30 p.m. MELBOURNE, Thursday. A fire destroyed the house of Mr. Irwin Brownfield at Heathertop. Mrs Brownfield, a son aged nine, and a daughter aged three, were burned to death. The husband was away milking, and saw the house in flames. It is believed that the wife was lighting the fire with kerosene when an explosion oc-' curred. Mrs Brownfield lost her life trying to rescue her children.
