COMMERCIAL TOUR

HEADS OF ATLANTIC OIL COMPANY VISIT ROTORUA. CONFIDENCE IN DOMINION. Among the visitors to Rotorua at the present time are Mr. E. G. Martin, New Zealand manager of the Atlantic Oil Co., and Mr. W. N. Grubb, an Australian director of the company. This is Mr. Grubb 's first visit to the Dominion, and in company with Mr. Martin, he is visiting the chief centres of interest. Yesterday a tour was made of the thermal attractions in Rotorua, but time has not permitted more extended visits to the scenic spots of the district. In the course of conversation with a "Post" representative, Mr. Martin said his company had been operating in New Zealand just four years on June 15, and so far as business was concei-ned they were well satisfied. He refrained, however, from any comment upon the general commercial situation in New Zealand, beyond expressing confidence that in time we should come safely through the period of depression . When the cloud lifted he expected to see many more American visitors to New Zealand. In the past, he pointed out, wealthy Americans had seen much of England and the Continent, and would be attracted to these shores in the desire to see something new. The Dominion was also becoming more widely known, which could not fail to have a good result upon its tourist traffic.
