SYDNEY, Wednesday. The Minister of Customs, Mr. H". S. Gullett, one of Australia's delegates to the Ottawa Conference iii a farewell speech expressed the belief that substantial benefits would coriie to Australia from tbat conference, but success would not come if the decisions injured any sections of the Empire. He considered it impossible to expect any benefits for wool and there would be difficulties also iri regard to wheat. The position iri Yegard to meat was slightly bettef, while the prospects were briglit foi other products. He was not goirig to Ottawa with a plan for writirig the tariff up and down. The Commdii1 wealth Government was resolute in ; regard to that aspect .of its policy. | ^ — —
