MASTERTON, Tuesday. A sequel to a shooting affray, near Waiohine, South Carterton, at 5.30 p.m. on Saturday was heard in the Carterton Magistrate's Court, whep Jack Rjchards was charged with discharging a fire arm at Reuben Kopu with intent to do hodily harm. Accused was remanded to- appear on Tuesday. It was stated that Kopu, who livefl across the road from Richards, lieaiR an altercation in the latter's housq, and went across to investigate. Whep approaching, however, it is alleged Richards discharged a shot gun at him. A portion of the shot entered Kopu's wrist, and he was admitted to the Masterton hospital. The ipjury is not serious.
