GREYMOUTH, Tuesday. In reply to the Minister of Mines' telegram to-day, Mr. J. Purdy' has telegraphed the Hon. C. E. Macmillan as follows: "The owners refuse an unconditional conference." Such aetion is unprecedented and resumption is impossible under those circumstances. The seriousness of the position demands your intervention."
