WHAKA V. CONVENT

On Friday, June 10th, an interschool friendly basketball match was played between Convent and "Whaka on the former's court. During the first spell, both teams gave a fine exhibition of the game, the resulting score being 6 — 6 at half time. .Whaka displayed great determination in the second spell and scored the winning goal within a few minutes of time, the game ending with the score 13-12. This is the first of a series of games to be played by Convent and Whaka schools, and as there is no class limit, all pupils are eligible to play.
