IDEAL WEATHER FAYOURS SECOND DAY EYENTS BAKERS' BREAD CLASSES WHAKATANE, Thursday. The Bay of Plenty Winter show continued to-day in ideal weather. The attendance was good. Last night the publie was treated to an excellent display of pedalling on the rollers by the Whakatane Athletie and Cycling Club, the winners being J. Whitten and E. Nowland. The final between these two will be held to-night. The mock-court also proved a great attraction, and the organisers must be complimented on the excellent manner in which it was conducted. The personnel of the court was: Rev. Weymouth (judge) ; Dr. J. C. Wadmore (Crown Prosecutor) ; Mr. W. J. Sharkey (Clerk of Court); Mr. P. A. Harron (assistant clerk); Mr M. J. Fogarty (Usher). The following are -the results of the professional bakers' class which created unusual interest, entries being from the whole provinee. Best two loaves white bread: T. A. Baikie (Tauranga) , 1, T. , Findley (Hamilton) 2, A. J. Canning and Co. (Whakatane) 3. Best two loaves wholemeal bread: A. R. Graeff (Te Teko) 1, A. J. Canning and Co., (Whakatane) 2, T. Findley (Hamilton) 3. Best two pound loaf white bread. A. J. Canning and Co. 1 and 2, A. Baikie (Tauranga) 3. Best 21b. brown loaf: T. Findley (Hamilton) 1, D. Anderson (Opotiki) 2, T. A. Baikie (Tauranga) 3. The D.Y.C. Bay of Plenty Challenge Cup (best upright loaf of white bread): A. J. Canning and Co. (Whakatane) 1, T. A. Baikie (Tauranga) 2, J. W. Bishop (Whakatane) 3. Two best loaves made with Snowdrift flour: A. J. Canning and Co., 1, A. R. Graeff (Te Teko), 2; T. A. Baikie (Tauranga), 3.
