PECULIAR RESTRICTIONS

Speaking at the meeting of the Rotorua Rod and Gun Club last night the chairman, Mr. R. H. Jones, referred to the prohibition enforced by the Department of Internal Affairs in regard to the mooring of boats at Okere. He pointed out that ; fishermen were not allowed to moor their boats on one side of the stream. In fact they were not permitted even to anchor in midstream. Why they should be confined to one side only he could not understand and as a result of discussion it was decided to ask the Minister to consider the removal of the irritating restriction.
