PROBABLY NOT WISE
The Rotorua Rod and Gun Club discussed the question of obtaining better local control, at its meeting last evening and the suggestion that a properly constituted acclimatization society should be ereated was brought f orward. The prohlem of taking over all the Government activities however, proved a stumbling block and Mr. E. A. Meredith asked if the club | would be prepared to pay the Maoris £3000 a year for the control of the lake beds. The possibility of such a transaction did not win much favour.
