(Press. Assn.—
TIN TRADE DISLOCATED 1 , .
-By Telegraph— Copyright).
LONDON, Tuesday. Dealings on the tin market are temporarily suspended owing to the failure of Messrs Lewis Lazarus and Sons to meet their engagements. Negotiations are proceeding between important tin interests with a view to minimising the dislocation. The Australian Press Association understands that the failure of Messrs Lewis Lazarus and Sons, which has big tin interests, is due to Continental clients failing to meet their obligations. Rumours of some such event have been hanging over the tin market for some months. Competent authorities are ^opeful that now the extent of the trouble is known the position will improve.
