hobbs discusses chances of england against australia. NEEDS YOUNG BLOOD
— By Telegraph — Copyright).
LONDON, Monday. Mr. Jack Hobbs, writing to the Dispateh, says: "England must have young blood for the Australian tour, but ihe outlook is not rosy. KempWelch is at present resting owing to an injury. He is a fine natural player and most likely will go to Australia. Hendren ought to be a certainty. Sandham, when in his best form, is most capable of partnering Sutcliffe. I do not expect Freeman will be select- ' ed, although he is taking wickets with monotonous regularity." Mr. Crawley, also writing in the Dispatch, expresses the opinion "That there will be no difficulty in finding an opening batsman with Sutcliffe. If no outstanding youngster appears, I , hear a suggestion that Hobbs may go to Australia to play in tbe Tests." Tate in an article in Reynolds News, is of opinion that Keeton may be a worthy substitute for Hobbs.
