Although excitir.g, the ;Y.\ ' generally was nct of a spcetaculai* :uture, but the teams were so eveniy niatched that all the games were \ interestin g. The match between Rotorua A and Te Puke resulted in a wixi by the local team by 4 goals to one. At the outset Te Puke held the • advantage and were unlucky not to score from many chances. In the second spell however the Rotorua team settled down to better combined play and placed the issue beyond doubt. Rotorua A rnet Rotorua B in the second match of the day, the game bemg very evenly contested throughout. The A team were hard pressed by their younger opponents an the circle work of the latter t am been more accurate, the win of the A team would most probably have been avoided. An exciting game was played between Te Puke and Rotorua B in the afternoon and for some time it appeared as if neither team would pierce their opponents' defence. The final result however was a win for Rotorua B by two goals to one. Men's Match A fast game played between men's
teams representing Te Puke and So^ torua ended in a draw, two goals each. Some good stickwork was seen in both teams and although both the sides were more or less of a scratch nature the pace was maintained until the final whistle. RESUL'iS Aard Cup Rotorua A 4 goals, Te Puke 1. Rotorua A 2 goals, Rotorua B 0. Rotorua B 2 goals, Te Puke 1. Points for Cup: Rotorua A 4 pts, Rotorua B 2 points, Te Puke 0. Men's Game Te -tfuke 2 goals, Rotorua 2.
