QUEEN CARNIVAL

RAISING FUNDS FOR DENTAL SERVICE AT REPOROA WOMEN'S DIVISION N.Z.F.U. A meeting of the Reporoa branch of the Women's Division of the New Zealand Farmers' Union was held last week. Mrs R. Brown presided over an attendance of 15 members. The question of obtaining dental attention for the children of Ihe district was fully discussed. It was pointed out that the dental clinic in Rotorua was of little use to Reporoa on account of the transport problem and also because only the younger children can be treated. Members expressed the opinion that it would be' preferable to try and secure periodical visits from a Rotorua dentist. The suggestion met with favour and it was decided to run a Queen carnival in order to raise funds. Queens will be sel'ected to represent Reporoa North, Reporoa South and the Maoris.
