SUCCESSFUL YEAR DISCLOSED BY REPORT AT ANNUAL MEETING RESULTS OF APPROPRIATIONS The eighth annual general meeting of the Rotorua Co-operative Terminating Building Society was held on Wednesday evening, when, despite the inclement weather, the chairman (Mr. D. Jervis) presided over a good attendance of shareholders. The report anid balance sheet were adopted unanimously, the former showing that the total profits in the first group up to March 31 last amounted to £5,155 11s 3d, being approximately £8 10s a share, while the total profits in the second group were £1,191, equivalent to £1 16s 6d a share. The amount advanced to members on mortgage to date, as disclosed bjjj the report, amounts to £24,300. Appropriations were held of £800 in Group 1, and of £600 in Group 2, the winner of the ballot of £400 in Group 1 being the holder of share No. 91. For the appropriation by tender in the same group the accepted tender was £85 per £200. In Group 2 prices tendered ranged from £65 to £111 per £200. Mr. J. H. Buddle was re-qlected auditor for the ensuing yea'r, amid applause. A vote of thanks to the chairman was passed at the close of the meeting.
