WASHINGTON, Wednesday. In cjefinitely-pledged votes to be east three weeks hence at the Rpuhliean National Convention, Mr H. C. Hoover holds the strength needed to secure his re-nomination. . This niark (578) was passed when Texas yesterday instyucted its 49 delegates to vote for him, bringing his assured votes to 621 and the total claimed for him (but which is disputed by Mr. Joseph I. France, a rival candidate) to 1044. There are 1154 votes in the Convention.
