Rec. May 26, 11 p.m. CALCUTTA, Thursday. Leaving a letter stating that she was of hallowed birth and could marry no mortal, an Indian daughter of a village constable near Masulipatam, Southern India, committed suicide on tbe eve of ber wedding. Dressed in cos.tly bridal garmehts, she placed herself on a secretly constructed funeral pyre near her home, and was burned to death.
