SUCCESSFUL DAY'S SPORT. Another very successful meet of the Rotorua and Bay of Plenty Hant Cluh was held last Saturday afternoop over the properties of • Messrs. H. Hardcastle and H. P. Ford. At the close of the hunt the riders and folloWers were er$ertained to afternoon tea at the home of Mrs. Ford, a unique feature of the afternoon refreshment being "hot dogs," which had been provided at the "master's suggestion. Among the riders and followers present were: — Mrs. T. Jackson, Mrs. MacKenzie, Mrs. H. P. Ford, Mrs. H. Bertram, Mrs. Scott (Timaru), Miss B, Evans, Miss' A. Brackebush, Miss Hinton, Miss J. Bertram, Miss H. Ford and Miss Smith. SURPRISE PARTY During last week a very enjoyable surprise party was taken by friends of Miss Gwenyth Sloane to her home in Haupapa St. Miss Sloane, assisted by her mother, who wore a navy blue marocaip frock, received her guests wearing shell pink georgette. Miss Margaret Sloane wore a frock of sea greqn crepe de chine. The rooms were artistically arranged with bowls of bronte chrysanthemums and the evening was most pleasantly spent in games and dancing. The winners of the Monte Carlo werie Miss Clivena Young and Master G. Ford. Among those present were: Miss C. Sharpe, Miss Y. Ford, Miss- C. Young, Miss Y. Wallis, Miss J. Ford, Miss P. Ford, Miss N. Foggin, Miss N. Steele, Miss M. Musgrave, Miss V. Musgrave.
