MR. PIDDINGTON SELECTED ' AS SUCCESSOR by TRADES HALL ' IF MR. LANG WINS

SYDNEY, Tuesday. The Sydney Morning Herald says that it is stated in political circles thht ohe' of' the aims ef the Lang Government was to secure the 'appointment of "Mr. A. B. Piddlngton, K.C., as State Governor on the recall ef Sir Philip Game, which is confidently piedicted in 'the Trades Hall. During 'the pa'st week it has been asserted in Parljamentary circles that s'hould the Lang Party be returned at the eleetion, Mr. Lang will insist on the immediate recall of Sir Philip Game.' Mr. Piddington was President of the State Industrial Commission until last week, when he resigned as a protest against the Governor's dismissal of Mr. Lang and his Government, which Ee described as unconstitutional. For some time the Commission had been unable to perform its 'full duties, Mr. Piddington being the sole remaining member of the three comprisine: the Commission.
