HAMILTON, Tuesday. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on their weekly Frankton stock sale, held to-day as follows: Cattle: The demand for ox beef was steady, but values receded slightly on last week's quotations owing to the heavy yarding. Prices for cow beef also showed an easing tendency on late rates. The numbers ^arded were about the average. Store cows sold on a par, while competition was fairly spirited on good quality close-up dairy cattle. We quote: Prime fat bullocks £6 to £7, medium quality ditto. £4 12/6 to £5 15/-, light do. £3 2/- to £3 10/-, light fat cows £1 17/6 to £2 7/6, killable £1 10/- to £1 15/-, stores 18/- to 27/-, boners 9/- to 15/-, vealers 18/- to 28/-, dairy cows close to profit £5 to £6 10/-, oth'ars up to £4 10/-. Sheep: There was a heavy yarding of all classes of fat sheep. Competition was fair for fat ewes the wethers, but prices decreased slightly because of the heavy entry, while a steady demand was met for fat lambs, rates for which. did not vary from last week. Maiden ewes made 10/3 to 11/6, fat ewes 6/7 to 7/3, lighter do. 5/6 to 6/6, prime fat wethers 11/6 to 12/6, medium do 10/- td 11/3, light do. 9/- to 10/-, prime lambs 12/- to 14/-, medium quality 10/6 to 11/6, lighter 9/- to 10/3. Pigs: There was an average yarding of fat and store pigs Baconers" were firm at late rateS, while porkers improyed in value, Store pigs were again firm at late rates. Heavy baconers made 38/- to £2 4/-, medium baconers 32/- to 36/-, light baconers 28/- to 32/-, medium porkers 21/- to 24/-, light pprkers 15/- to £1, large stores 10/ to 14/-, slips 7/6 to 9/-, weaners 5/- to 7/6, small weaners 3/to 4/-.
