-By Telegraph — Copyright.l

SYDNEY, Wednesday. Suspicious circumstances are connected with the fire at Armidale. A motor-car without lights was seen leaving the scene before the discovery of the fire. Dectives are investigating. The iron store in which the explosion occurred was detached from the main store premises, which were gutted by fire only three weeks ago, causing damage to the extent of £20,000. The windows of every building nearby were smashed and dwellings rocked. At least 5000 detonators exploded.
