EXCUSE FOR NON-PAYMENT OF ENDOWMENT MONEY BANK WILLING TO PAY

SYDNEY, Friday. In the Assembly, Mr. Lang said family endowment was not heing paid because a banking account could not he operied through which the money could be paid. Sir Robert Gibson, chairman of the Commonwealth Bank Board, has issued a statement refuting Mr. Lang's eharge that the Commonwealth Barik will not continue the endowment payments. Sir R. Gibson said the letter quoted hy the Premier was written three months ago, long, before the Enforcement Act" was thought of, and he offered to prdvide payment facilities until August 15.
