thirty-four men in court on various charges

WELLINGTON, Thursday. Thirty-four men came before Mr. E. Page, S.M., to-day ori charges arising ont of the window-smashing episode in the city on Tuesday evening and the Cuba Street gathering which was dispersed after a baton eharge by the police on Wednesday afternoon. The charges were those of incitiiig ; lawlessness, theft, obstruction of constables, being " in possession of of- ; fensive weapons, such as bolts, nuts and stones, resisting the police, wilful damage and ohscerie latoguage.
