Rec. May 12, 11.10 p.m. • PARIS, Thursday. Under leaden skies, M. Doumer's body was taken from the Elysee. It was preceded by the Republican Guard and cavalry- A procession twO miles long followed the open hearse, drawn by eight black horse's, behind which marched the Prinee of Wales, the King 4qf the Belgians, the Emperor of Annam, the Duke d'Aoasta (Italy) and other representatives of 40 nations. M. Lebrun marched with the family mourners. Thousands of troops marched to the beat of muffled drums, whilst others with fixed bayonets g^arded the route of the cortege. The body was taken into the Pantheon for the funeral oration, after which it was interred in the family vaitlt at Vaugirard. Elaborate precautions were taken to guard the visiting foreign notabilities. As the funeral passed the prison, Gouguloff paced his cell offering prayers for the salvation of France.
