"POST" COMPETITION
ECONOMY HINTS FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF THE HOME. THIS WEEK'S ENTRIES. The "Morning Post" home recipe competition this week has not attracted the usual numher of entries, despite the fact that most housewives have at least one favourite and very practicable economy and most have quite a number which help them to keep down the cost of living. The judge has awarded the prize for the week to A. Stembridge, Ngongotaha, for her excellent original recipe for floorpolish. Mrs. S. E. Phipps, Toko St., Rotorua, is given second place for her Iist of four practical hints. A selection from the other entries received, which include biscuits and an 'Economy Pudding," is also pnblished. ' Unfortunately, a number of the household hints sent in were duplications. In addition the judge has herself supplied a selection of useful hints.
